JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS

Prioritize each customer and provide outstanding, friendly, and first class customer service.

Adhere to all company policies and procedures as specified in the company manuals.

Train, coach, and supervise assignments and performance of store staff during the Store Manager’s absence.

Present a clean and professional appearance in accordance with the company dress code policy.

Maintain a professional demeanor and level of conduct when dealing with management, vendors, co-workers, and customers.

Ensure the correct and timely execution of all directives from the Corporate Office, including but not limited, to retail price changes, fuel price changes, and survey requests/requirements.

Analyze and respond to results and trends in relation to sales, waste, and profit margins.

Adhere to all company policies and guidelines in regards to Safety and Loss Prevention.

Assist in creating and maintaining a clean, safe, and secure environment for both customers and co-workers.

Complete daily, weekly, and monthly store data processing figures as required.

Ability to learn and utilize any and all store computer applications.

Check in DSD and Wholesaler vendor deliveries, and process invoices as applicable.

Enforce and follow all state and company policies regarding lottery sales, handling, and accountability as applicable to on-line sales, over the counter sales, or instant ticket vending machine sales.

Conduct competitive fuel surveys as required.

Complete bank deposits as required.

Cross-Train as needed in regards to Food Service Operations.

Resolve any and all customer complaints or concerns in a courteous and professional demeanor and manner.

Keep Store Manager and/or District Supervisor informed of any issues that occur that impact store operations.

Assist Store Manager in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training Customer Service Representatives.

Actively utilize suggestive selling and cross merchandising techniques to increase sales at their respective location.

Order and replenish retail stock and operating supplies as needed.

Assist in scheduling and coordinating daily assignments of all subordinate store staff.

Be aware of and enforce all local, state, and federal laws and guidelines regarding sales of lottery, tobacco/tobacco related products, and alcohol.

Be available to cover shifts related to staff shortages, call-offs, or staff terminations.

Be willing, if feasible, to assist with shift coverage at other stores if the need arises.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Preferred Skills
Retail, restaurant, or convenience store background.

Ability to deal with all challenging situations

Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks as needed.

Effective written and oral commination skills.

Ability to learn and utilize all equipment specifically related to store operations. Computer applications, hand held units, label printers, ovens, and warmers.
Additional Notes
Must be able to honor all scheduling specifications.

Salary is commensurate with experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
